KERRY DAWSON, B.Sc, B.Ed, MRM
Kerry Dawson obtained an Honours B.Sc. in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Western Ontario in 1989, where she was named top student in her program in 1988. She was awarded National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) scholarships to study for her Masters in Resource and Environmental Management at Simon Fraser University from 1990 to 1993. As a biologist, Kerry worked for BC Parks, GVRD Parks and for a variety of environmental organizations before beginning to work as a grizzly bear tour guide on the BC Coast in 1998. During these years she spent her winters learning Spanish and guiding language students on excursions around Mexico.
